Information you provide. We may collect your name or username, email address, account credentials, uploaded content (documents, notes, text, files), and communications with support.

Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, Apple, Google). We do not store full payment card details. We may receive transaction IDs, subscription status, billing country, and payment timestamps.

Automatically collected. We automatically collect IP address, device type, browser, OS, login timestamps, feature usage and interaction logs, and approximate location (country/region). This data is used for security, fraud prevention, analytics, and dispute defense.

For users in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we process personal data under the following lawful bases:

• Contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b)) — to provide the Service, subscriptions, AI features, and account access.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — fraud prevention, chargeback defense, security, service improvement.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — accounting, tax, and regulatory compliance.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — only where explicitly required (e.g., optional marketing).

Withdrawal of consent does not affect prior lawful processing.

We use personal data to operate and maintain the Service, generate AI-based study assistance, authenticate users and secure accounts, process payments and subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, enforce our Terms of Service, and defend against disputes, chargebacks, or legal claims.

• Uploaded content is processed by automated AI systems.
• AI outputs are generated probabilistically and are not reviewed by humans by default.
• AI outputs are assistive only and may be inaccurate.

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.

We use essential cookies (authentication, security), analytics tools, and fraud-prevention mechanisms. Disabling cookies may impair functionality.

We retain personal data while your account is active and as required for billing, legal compliance, or dispute defense. After account deletion, we may retain transaction records, IP logs, and usage logs — necessary for fraud prevention and legal obligations.

We may share data with payment processors, cloud hosting providers, analytics and security vendors, and legal authorities where required. All third parties are contractually obligated to protect data.

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that Mastery Labs LLC may retain and disclose relevant data to respond to payment disputes or chargebacks, including IP address at signup and purchase, account access logs, usage activity, subscription activation timestamps, and acceptance of Terms and Privacy Policy. This processing is justified under legitimate interest and contractual necessity.

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. Requests may be lawfully denied where retention is required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

Your data may be processed outside your country of residence. For EU users, transfers are safeguarded using Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and industry-standard security measures. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

StudiSpace is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if such data is discovered, it will be deleted.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption and access controls. However, no system is fully secure, and you use the Service at your own risk.

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
